Bernardino (or Belardino) Mezzastris (or Mezastris) (fl. 1st half of the 16th century), Italian painter of the Umbrian school, probably from Foligno in Umbria. He was a minor artist: some of his frescoes on religious subjects survive, but garner little critical acclaim. He should not be confused with the much more important Pier Antonio Mezzastris, who was likely a relative, possibly his father. Works by Bernardino Mezzastris include: *Madonna and Child with angels in a rose garden, in the church of S. Illuminata of Montefalco, signed and dated 1507 *Fresco in the Chiesa Tonda of Spello, signed and dated 1533 *detached frescoes now in the Pinacoteca Civica of Foligno. ==References== *Raimond van Marle, (''The development of the Italian schools of painting'' ), Volume 14, Hacker Art Books, 1970, p. 86. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Bernardino Mezzastris」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
